Downtown Houston and Pearland families, this weekend is giving us double the celebration and double the red! ❤️🧧
Lunar New Year festivities are lighting up the city with dragons, lanterns, and lucky envelopes — and just as we’re soaking in all that vibrant red, Valentine’s Day swoops in with hearts, roses, and maybe a little extra chocolate. (No complaints here. 🍫)
If you’ve been looking for a sign to get out and celebrate with your crew… this is it.
And if you’re still on the fence about your weekend plans, just come along with us. 💕
First things first — I have a standing Valentine’s tradition to uphold: heart-shaped conchas are a must. No negotiations. 😄 My son and I will kick off the day with a cozy at-home Valentine’s breakfast (think sweet treats and extra sprinkles), then head out to soak up some Lunar New Year festivities and all that lucky red energy. 🧧✨
We’re leaving the evening wide open — maybe a family movie night, maybe something sweet and spontaneous.

🎉 Why We Love This Combo Weekend
There’s something special about two celebrations centered around love, connection, and good fortune happening at the same time.
Lunar New Year reminds us to honor tradition, family, and new beginnings.
Valentine’s Day reminds us to slow down and appreciate the people right in front of us.
Both give us a reason to gather, laugh, snack, and make memories. That’s a win in my book.

If Valentine's Day is what you're going for, follow the heart:
So whether you're dragon-chasing in Downtown Houston or heart-hunting in Pearland, I hope your weekend is full of color, culture, and maybe just a little extra chocolate.
Wishing your family good luck, big love, and lots of fun ❤️🧧✨
