I recently visited Typhoon Texas Houston with my kids and we all had a great time. We were there for several hours and I never heard those dreaded words "Mommy I'm bored"
they of course could have stayed even longer and we can't wait to go back. Summer is so hot in Houston, it's nice to escape to a waterpark to cool down.
Now I know why their tagline is "Good Clean Fun" the waterpark was very clean, and I'm a very tough critic when it comes to cleanliness, I was very impressed. The staff is super helpful and friendly, in fact as soon as you check in you're greeted with a "Howdy! and a smile. Remember to stay hydrated throughout the day, you're allowed to bring in one unopened bottle
of water per guest plus there is also water and other drinks there for purchase.
Did your kids receive a Typhoon Texas coupon at the end of school? Mine did, and it's one free entry so definitely check their folders just in case you may have missed it.
There are also many other ways to save, like checking out the prices on the calendar as they differ daily. I even found a coupon on the back of a McDonald's receipt &
in a coupon book purchased from the Boy Scouts.
There are also many other specials listed on their website. Another perk at Typhoon Texas is parking is... FREE! Need a break from the sun... don't worry there is plenty of shade
around the waterpark and you can even rent a cabana for the day too. I saw some cabana's being used to celebrate birthdays - what a great way to celebrate in the Summer!

We spent a lot of our time in the awesome wave pool and lazy river, there were so many tubes to just relax in. During our time in the wave pool my daughter had a blast and
danced for an hour with the staff and other kids to fun music on the stage. I kind of felt like I was on vacation, I guess it was a day staycation. For lunch there was a lot of pick from, we
went with a good old pizza for the family and it was plenty for our hungry party of 5. There were also lots of sweet treats to pick from.

Don't forget to re-apply about every hour & don't forget your back like I may have... OUCH!
