I’m always looking for fun places to visit with my family and we recently had the opportunity to stay at South Shore Harbour Resort and Conference Center located in League City. Close to Houston’s Hobby Airport and I-45, just 30 minutes south of Houston makes for a great vacation without spending too much time in the car and more time for fun. They host a lot of special events open to guests, follow along on their page!
With beautiful water views, moments away from Kemah Boardwalk, great shopping, waterfront dining and boating, South Shore promises a relaxing getaway whether you’re there for business, family fun or even a little romance.
During our stay we saw a family reunion having a great time at the pool… it definitely had me planning in my mind a mini family get together. As soon as we pulled up to the resort my kids said it reminded them of Florida, it gave off that kind of vibe, with the tall Palm Trees and being surrounded by water, and we loved that! Parking was easy, close by where we needed to check in. As soon as we walked through the doors into the fabulous lobby, we were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome. At check in we were given information about the resort; pool hours, food on premises, gym and more so we felt very comfortable with the new place we were visiting - they made us feel at home. I can honestly say that I have never stayed in a room like this… As soon as we opened the double doors were were wowed with a room with two floors! Windows from floor to ceiling the light in the room was amazing. The contemporary Captain’s Suite was clean, spacious with a beautiful view. Once we made it upstairs, it was great that the door closed tight (especially when you are traveling with a toddler. Upstairs there was a living room with tv next to the bedroom which had a king bed. The bathroom was impressive with a stunning tub and separate shower and private restroom. We’d be happy here if we moved in. :) When housekeeping was cleaning another room on the floor we saw the standard room and it also looks spacious and with contemporary decor.

We arrived on a Saturday and the marina-side pool was the place to be… great music and the genre changed throughout the day from dance music to 80's in the evening. People were having a great time hanging out, swimming and playing in the pool. It was a wide range of ages from kids to adults this was a great family fun place to be. The 185-foot Oasis pool, is spacious and a fun place to be. Private cabanas are available for rent too.
My kids played a few rounds of Corn Hole by the pool and lots more time in the pool, the temperature was perfect.
