This article highlights my journey with Jenny Craig for the week of March 23, 2020

Be healthy and stay healthy with Jenny Craig at home! They're offering FREE home delivery or curbside pickup and FREE personal phone coachingIt's week 4 on my Jenny Craig Anywhere program and I am doing surprisingly well!  I say surprisingly well because things are a little uncertain at the moment. We are kind of taking a slight pause in life due to COVID-19. I have all three children home with me while trying to play the role of teacher, entertaining a toddler, chef (all day long) and trying to keep the house in some sort of order all while not bothering my husband while he's newly working from home.  I'm not going to lie, it's a little stressful and when I normally get stressed, I tend to turn to food that I know I shouldn't be eating. Luckily my Jenny Craig program has everything outlined for me, so I don't have to think about what I'm going to eat next and won't make the wrong choices throughout the day.  The food is delicious, it's chef-crafted menu that provides 3 meals and 2 snacks every day to fit each individual lifestyle. With over 100 food options that are all ready to eat in 5 minutes or less!

My food day consists of:
Breakfast plus a dairy and fruit
Snack - Jenny Craig Protein Bar
Lunch plus 2 cups of salad
Snack - Fruit
Dinner plus at least 1 vegetable
Jenny Craig Snack (which could be a dessert -- look below... so good!)
Learn more here about this awesome program!

As recommended I add fresh fruits, vegetables, and dairy for variety with my meals.
Plus I've been drinking lots of water throughout the day and making an effort to get outside and walk this is great to also help clear your mind a little. I think it's all been a perfect combination for my body to help me feel better internally as well as externally. So far I have lost about 4 pounds and last we measured I also lost an inch of body fat. ‡ Results may vary. Weight lost on Classic Program. Members following the program, on average, lose 1-2lbs per week.
It's also important to not eat during the evening for 12 hours. This fast gives the body time to digest and get ready for the next day. I am so surprised I have not woken up hungry like I assumed I would be, my body is being trained and adapting well with the fast.

Jenny Craig is now available at select Walgreens, this program is even more convenient! Find your local Walgreens here. I meet with my dedicated consultant, PJ weekly and recently due to COVID-19 for the safety of everyone we speak over the phone so it's more of a remote consultation.  Temporarily Jenny Craig is shifting Jenny Craig to serve new and current clients including phone coaching and home delivery, or curbside food pick-up where available. Not only do I have a fantastic consultant to meet with, but there is also help over the phone and the awesome app - learn more about that here. On the app, I can track the progress, and help keep me accountable with my ongoing progress.

I love the Jenny Craig Anywhere program because it delivers all the meals for two weeks right to the front door, it's packaged great with dry ice so everything is nice and cold even if you can't put it in the freezer right away (if you're not home during the delivery).   My menu and plan have been carefully selected specifically for me based on my DNA profile. With this program, I learned so much about myself with Jenny Craig DNA Weight Loss Kit and health assessment. I have been following the plan for three weeks and so far my journey has been, easy to follow and delicious.

My DNA results told me about 15 different markers with insight on 5 key elements.
How the body processes food, how my body responds to exercise, my sleep quality (which was poor), my eating behaviors, lastly my metabolism.
It confirmed that I am more inclined to have sugar crazings and eat sweets in excess and there were some suggestions on ways to deal with this.
During this time once the results are reviewed it's determined what food program you should be on. I remained on the 1200 menu because it works best with my DNA results.

Now more than ever I realize how important it is for me to take care of myself, so I can be a better mom (and other roles) for my family. Stay tuned, I am excited to share my journey with you.
