Jenny Craig week 6, during this time of uncertainty and being home with the family, not going anywhere, normally the first thing I would do is look for comfort food, which could also be empty calories. Especially now it’s been very helpful knowing that I have Jenny Craig food in my freezer and the pantry for my snacks. Throughout this process it’s been a family effort, we go out and walk together, ride bikes, we are keeping active together daily. As far as the meal planning for Jenny Craig, there is not much effort on my part, everything is planned out for me, all the meals, what snacks to eat, which days… I mean everything!  Also, the food ordering process is so simple, I go over the week with my consultant, and if there is anything I'd like to swap out she gives me my choices for that meal.  The next week the food is delivered to me in dry ice and packaged very neatly in a recyclable box. The kids even got a science experiment from the dry ice, we are being as creative as possible while home learning. If you do this please remember not to touch the dry ice with your hands. 


So while I’m preparing my very tasty Jenny Craig meals that typically will take a total of five minutes or less to make, I also prepare my families food and try to feed them healthy as well. What I’ve learned during this process is how important portion control is, the amount of food I was eating before this program was too much. Now it’s a nice size portion of food, added with salad for lunch and dinner time I add a vegetable. I've also felt better overall because I'm not eating fast-food and incorporating so many more vegetables into my diet. Since I am not going into grocery stores at this time, I have been utilizing my local grocery pick for the fruits, veggies, and dairy I am adding to my diet, it’s been a great service.

My personal center is in a local Walgreens in Cypress and is super convenient. The resources are awesome, you can call the 800 number for the Jenny Craig Center with questions, also the handy Getting Started Guide, The Jenny Craig App and of course the wonderful Weight Loss Coach. They even have a YouTube channel with great food ideas. 
I am feeling so much better now, I have more energy for my family which I definitely need especially now, it’s a great feeling knowing that I am eating food that is right for my body.  I not only feel better about myself, but I can even see a difference when I look in the mirror and I also feel better when trying on my clothes. 
So far I’ve lost a total of pounds and an inch in body fat and still going.  * Avg. weight loss 1-2 lbs/week for members following the program.
Thanks to the DNA results I received from the Jenny Craig Rapid Results program one of the things I've learned is that my body needs more sleep, so I've been working on this by going to sleep earlier, adding a sound machine to the room and making sure my television is off when falling asleep.  



PJ my fabulous Jenny Craig consultant now speaks with me over the phone for our weekly check-ins, previously we would meet at my local Walgreens.  We talk about my weight and if I’ve had any issues or questions throughout the week, it’s really a nice conversation. She has such an upbeat personality and her happiness is contagious even through a phone call. 
I did have my doubts in the beginning before starting Jenny Craig because quite honestly I am not so great when it comes to following through with a food regimen. Jenny Craig makes this process so easy, you don’t even have to think about what your next meal is going to be because everything is laid out for you. I am not just eating the foods provided by Jenny Craig, I am also learning along the way how to maintain this new eating habit.  Another key factor is giving my body 12 hours to fast at night (which I definitely wasn’t doing prior). I am now getting better sleep because of the 12 hour intermittent fast at night with Rapid Results!  If I finish eating dinner at 7pm I won’t eat again until at least 7am.  What surprises me the most is that I'm not hungry in the morning when I wake up like I was previously.
Overall this program has been a great kickstart for my body, drinking more water and eating more vegetables. Walking has also been great for my mind and body all these steps have been great improvements in my life. 


Also, just because I'm on this program doesn't mean I don't get to have tasty treats. Even their desserts are delicious.
