Children’s Museum Houston’s top ways to celebrate Independence Day – Kid Style!

The stars and stripes will be in full effect as Children’s Museum Houston celebrates the land of the free and the home of the brave! This Kidpendence Week come see us or celebrate at home with us. We’ve got tons of activities on site and off to celebrate America’s 244th birthday – kid style!
SPECIAL EVENTS (ONSITE):
- Join the ODD SQUAD: Unscramble the failsafe sequence and help save the world from dimensional disorder in an exciting experience based on the popular PBS KIDS TV show! Brought to you by Chevron and Bechtel.
- Heed the Call of Patriotic Adventure: Go on the Epic Adventure scavenger hunt and collect patriotic clues to earn the prized “gold” coin and become an “Adventure Society” member.
- Rock It Like You Mean It: Launch a rocket using chemical reactions and experience propulsion at Flint Hills Resources Genius Station.
- Make Some Noise: Technically, make waves using sound! See how a singing bowl, metal rods and wave generator produce different wavelengths at Flint Hills Resources Genius Station.
- Take a Deep Breath: Take apart a real respiratory model and check out the organs that make it work in Power Science Lab.
- Make Up Who You Are: Our bodies are made up of thousands of cells and these cells have specific duties. Explore what makes up who you are at Power Science Lab.

- Never Sacrifice Style: Throw in your own personal style at our 3-D TinkerCAD Virtual Workshops brought to you by Chevron. See schedule.
