For many years I've put up a heart each day for each child on their bedroom doors saying what we love about them. Like for my daughter, we have said things like "we love that you are very kind, we love how helpful you are" for my son we love that you are "fun to be around, we love that you're a great big brother". There is no right or wrong way to do it. Just a fun way to express things we love or enjoy about them.
Given the year we have had, why not start a little early. I plan on putting up the hearts soon, and not just on the bedroom doors, also so they are visible around the house.
I feel now more than ever we need all the happiness and love we could get. Why stop with the kids, it's a fun activity everyone can do in the family. Mom & Dad need a little extra love too.
❤️ All you need is paper, scissors, and a marker. I like to use pink and red to be festive but you can use whatever you'd like. Have fun celebrating with each other.
