The Solar Eclipse definitely stole the spotlight this week but in other news, we've got some highlights to share with you for this upcoming weekend!
With Selena's birthday coming up and the much anticipated opening of The Commons at Hermann Park Conservancy, we have these events to offer something for everyone. In addition, the ever popular annual Art Car Parade is also happening this Saturday the 13th!
If you're feeling festive, Selena's April 16th Birthday approaching and Texas is never short on events celebrating her legacy. Bidi bidi bom bom on over to the FREE Como La Flor Market on Saturday the 13th which will be THE place for all things Selena at The Esplanade at Navigation. Go for the vendors and giveaways, stay for the vibe, live performances and much more. Staying with the theme, the Houston Botanic Music in the Garden Concert Series will feature Cristina Amaro and the CTS Band with a tribute concert to the "Queen of Tejano" on Sunday the 14th. Get your tickets and bring your chairs.
Saturday will also have two popular events that may make it hard for your family to choose. The Commons is opening to the public with a morning celebration complete with opening ceremony and ribbon cutting. Have you seen the teaser pics of this new park? Amazing! And right about the same time the 37th Annual Art Car Parade will be kicking off with the 11am open of the Kids Zone, followed by the parade at 2pm that's sure to entice the art and car fan with major creative talents on rotation. Plan accordingly as both events will draw big crowds, they're both FREE to attend.
