Registration Opens: 11 a.m.
Opening Ceremony: 12:40 p.m.

Parking: Free parking will be available in the Mid Campus Garage at 7007 Bertner Ave., Houston, TX 77030. Enter the garage from S. Braeswood Blvd. Bertner will be closed for pedestrian traffic. Free shuttles will take you to and from the Registration area. Please allow approximately 10 minutes for travel from the parking garage to the registration area. Free ADA parking will be available in the Armory Lot at 1902 Old Spanish Trail, Houston, TX 77054. View driving directions.
What to Wear: Wear your Boot Walk event T-shirt. It's a great way to get noticed by event photographers! Participants who raise a minimum of $100 earn the Boot Walk shirt. You don't have to wear boots but we encourage it. Dress comfortably. Don't forget to wear your sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses. Increase your chances of getting noticed by stopping at the Spirit Gear tent on event day for dedication bibs, stickers, temporary tattoos and more!
Teams: Make it easy for everyone to meetup by bringing balloons or a sign that is easy to spot in a crowd. Carpooling and arriving together is a great way to be sure you experience all the fun together. Take advantage of the photo opportunities at the start line area.
Wheels: Strollers and wheelchairs are welcome. Bicycles and Segways can be used to travel to and from the Boot Walk. For the safety of all participants, volunteers and spectators, bicycle or Segway are not allowed along the Boot Walk route.
Post-Walk Finish Line Party: After the walk, stay for the celebration! There will be activities for the whole family and live entertainment.
Food: Free pre-packaged snacks, fruit and bottled water will be provided. Food trucks will offer additional fare available for purchase.
Activities: will include event sponsor's activities, face painting, balloon animals, a kids' zone, and more!

Pets: For the safety of all participants, volunteers and spectators, we ask that you leave all pets at home.
Who
Children: The Boot Walk is for everyone! Strollers are welcome. The post-walk party is in an open field, so we recommend a full-sized or jogging stroller instead of an umbrella stroller. Be sure all of your children are registered for the event. Knowing the ages of all of our participants helps us plan appropriate activities for all ages.
