Ice skating at Discovery Green powered by Green Mountain Energy returns from November 15, 2019 to February 2, 2020!
Opening day celebration!
First 50 skaters skate for FREE. Skate rental fee waived for all others. Admission is $11.
Hours of Operation:
Monday – Friday: 5-10 pm (Fridays open until 11pm)
Saturday & School Holidays*: 11 am-11 pm
Sunday: 11 am – 8 pm
Thanksgiving Day: 11 am-11 pm
Christmas & New Year’s Eve: 11 am-7 pm
Christmas & New Year’s Day: 1-7 pm
School Holidays (HISD) include: Nov. 25-29; Dec. 23 - Jan. 3

Ticket sales support Discovery Green Conservancy, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that depends on the generosity of park visitors and other friends to maintain the park and to fund the more than 600+ free events held here every year.
General admission: $11 admission. $4 skate rental. (Tax Included)
Opening night, Nov 22: $11 admission and no fee for skate rental.
Members: $11 (Free skate rental)
Group Rate: $13 includes tax and skate rental
Cheap Skate Night: $15 for 2 or $8 for 1. Not available during school holidays.

Free skate rental with regular admission. Offer good for up to four people with member ID.
Green Mountain Energy Employees
$2 off with current employer ID. Offer good for up to four people.
Green Mountain Energy Customers

The ICE Box
The ICE powered by Green Mountain Energy offers 'The ICE Box', our separate, pint-sized rink for skaters 45" or shorter below the age of 4.
Wheelchairs
If you are a non-motorized wheelchair user, you are welcome to enjoy the rink in your own wheelchair. You must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times while on the ice rink. Motorized wheelchairs are not permitted on the ice rink. Admission for the wheelchair user is free.
Bringing a group?
The ICE at Discovery Green powered by Green Mountain Energy is perfect for church groups, daycare and school field trips, scout outings, birthdays, and company parties. Ice Rink Events
Ice Rink Events, a Houston-based designer, manufacturer, installer, and operator of ice rinks around the globe, transforms Kinder Lake’s model boat basin into a holiday skating destination each winter season at the park.
