Discover the power of words in this dynamic WITS (Writers In The Schools) workshop! Teens will collaborate with a professional writer and spoken word artist to explore the vibrant connection between music and poetry.
Participants will:
- Write original pieces, including poems, songs, or raps
- Transform their work from page to stage, honing performance skills with guidance from the teaching artist
- Gain a boost of confidence as they present their creations to an audience
By the end of the workshop, each student will leave with a unique piece of original work and a new sense of empowerment on the stage.
